Dear Parent/Guardian,

As you will be aware one of the aspects of the development of Grange School is to improve the GCSE pass rate in Mathematics. Consequently the Mathematics department are in the process of implementing measures to try to achieve this aim.

One of the identified targets is to use Study Support time as a way of further supporting year 11 pupils in their studies in the subject. Mathematics department staff have volunteered to give their time to targeted pupils every Monday night from 3.15pm to around 4.15pm in order to help pupils develop the necessary skills to achieve good grades.

I am pleased to inform you that your child has been identified as one of the targeted pupils who will benefit from attendance at these Study Support sessions and who hence be required to attend the extra sessions.

Your assistance is gratefully appreciated in this new initiative and if you agree to your child attending Mathematics Study Support every Monday please sign and return the slip below.
