Suki Chan

Artist
Suki creates large scale, enigmatic installations from intricate clusters of minute black marks. The silent, often near-invisible pieces, evoke a sense of becoming that responds intimately to the spaces it inhabits. Closely observing small details such as marks and traces accumulated over time to architectural elements of the space that dictates the movement of light and shadows.
From a distance the pieces may reference a mass of birds migrating in the sky. Up close, these 'tally marks' sometimes resemble roaming insects, travelling from one part of the space to another
Suki was invited to Grange to produce origami animals with material and beads
