Mrs Hill - Ceramics Workshops

Starting in October Year 6 pupils from Westwood Primary visited Grange on a Friday afternoon to take part in ceramic workshops led by Mrs Hill.

Pupils were inspired by the work of ceramicist Halima Cassell who uses simple forms as the basis of her work. Pupils explored ways of applying surface decoration and transferring designs onto the surface of a slab.

Mrs Devine created visual resources to accompany this project and these will be supplied to staff at Westwood to enhance any display they might have of the work in school.

The resources will be available for all Primary art coordinators to demonstrate the ceramic skills learnt by pupils who attended the workshops.
