Mrs Hill - Ceramics

Mrs Hill started working on a terms project with a local community group the W.C.W.A. The work took inspiration from Islamic patterns, which were enlarged and altered to create a card relief. The card relief was then used for casting the patterns in plaser of paris. Large slabs of clay were rolled out and the ladies used the casts to impress the design into the clay the ladies then took a knife to the imprint and cut out the shape of the pattern.
