Gifted & Talented Open minds programme

‘Open Minds’ is an Aim Higher project that has endeavoured to raise the academic and career expectations of young people, exploring museum and gallery collections as the starting point for dramatic expression.
Year 9 pupils from Grange performed at the Royal Exchange Theatre on July 10th and Year 10 GCSE Graphics pupils created computer generated artwork for the programme that accompanied the performance in Manchester.
Pupils created circular designs using museum archive photographs and were inspired
by Alex Williamson’s work.
On the back of the programme pupils were thanked by Julia Nelson, Project Co-ordinator, along with Martin Lancaster our Graphic Media Technician. Martin worked on the design, layout and printing of the programme.
Graphics pupils will use individual designs as part of their coursework requirement for GCSE Graphics.
