Miss Robinson - Printmaking with polyblock
Miss Robinson went to Richmond Primary School to teach year 1 pupils how to print with polyblock.
Polyblock is a thin sheet of material a lot like polystyrene, the pupils used this like paper to draw a design onto it making imprints.
The next stage would be to roll ink over the design and then press the polyblock onto different kinds of paper leaving a print of the design on the paper
The pupils took Avi Haltovsky's ( picture top right ) as their inspiration, they used islamic patterns as a starting point for the design and the prints were then transformed into the pupils initials.
