DRAMA UPDATE

Year 11 have just completed their OCR realisation test, this is the first time Grange has taught OCR drama so we are waiting with anticipation for exam results.

Currently 8 Year 9 pupils are working on the Aim Higher Open Minds project with Manchester museum.  They have spent 10 months working on this project and perform at the Royal Exchange on Thursday 10th July 2008.  The pupils have worked really hard throughout the year and are currently rehearsing a specially written play by Oldham playwright Cathy Crabb.  The play tells the story of the Oldhamer James Johnson.  The pupils have visited a variety of different places to gain an understanding of what it was like to be a slave and the impact this had on Oldham.

We are just about to start casting The Tempest as part of the Shakespeare School's Festival.  The pupils will perform at a regional theatre.
