My desert plant

Leena Akhtar - Arabian Spike

My plant is called the ‘Arabian Spike’. This is because it has spikes on it and it lives in the Arabian desert. My plant is very colourful and bright so that the plant attracts insects for pollination. It also has a tall stem so that it can save the water inside the stem when it is dry to stay alive. Not only that my plant has long tap roots so that it can go down deep to get the water. Also my plant has waxy leaves to help the plant to keep water. .
