Marufa Begum 9.1 - Mazzy Spikes

A Mazzy spike is a plant which can survive in the desert. It has waxy leaves to prevent moisture loss. Poisonous spines stop it being eaten. The thick stem can store water which is collected by its long roots. The colourful flowers attract insects for pollination.
